KINGSTON – For most teams, rain is a problem that only affects a practice for a couple hours.
For the Genoa-Kingston football team, which is holding its preseason training camp at Walcamp Outdoor Ministries and Retreat Center for the first three days, the rain does more than just disrupt practice.
But while the weather messed with plans on the first day at Walcamp, Day 2 went much smoother said third-year head coach Chad Wilmarth.
"I'll say we definitely had room for improvement," Wilmarth said about his team's "rusty" first practice Monday. "(Tuesday) was 100 times better – more focused, attention to detail, really hustling, really getting after it which is great to see."
