STREATOR — Streator High School hired a new head football coach who has experience working with winning programs.
The board voted unanimously Tuesday to hire Maroa-Forsyth assistant Kyle Tutt as successor to Brian Hassett. Tutt has coached at Class 2A Maroa-Forsyth since 2015. The program has finished state runner-up three times in that span.
Tutt also served as assistant football coach at West Carroll from 2013-2015 and Tolono Unity from 2011-2013.
Streator is Tutt's first head varsity football coaching position. Tutt was head coach for basketball and track at West Carroll from 2013-2015.
"We look forward to him leading our football program to new levels," said Superintendent Matt Seaton.
