St. Charles North (4-4, 3-3) at Wheaton Warrenville South (5-3, 3-3)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: 21-10 SCN in the 2018 Class 7A quarterfinals

About the North Stars: The North Stars must win to have a realistic chance at making the postseason. They could be without starting quarterback Kyler Brown; he missed last week due to injury. If that's the case, the Tigers will likely see a heavy dose of wildcat with Nick DeMarco.

About the Tigers: The Tigers need a win to clinch their postseason berth. Michigan State recruit Jack Olsen could be an X-factor with his ability to hit long field goals and likely force the North Stars deep into their own territory on kickoffs.

Friday Night Drive pick: St. Charles North

Wheaton North (4-4, 2-4) at Batavia (6-2, 5-1)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: Batavia 24-13 in 2018.

About the Falcons: The Falcons have won their last two games, and kept their playoff hopes alive with a surprising win over St. Charles East last week. Linebacker Xander Mueller, a Northwestern recruit, leads a defense that has allowed just 118 points, best in the DuKane Conference.

About the Bulldogs: Batavia, last year's conference champ, can clinch at least a share of the DuKane title with a win. Art Taylor comes in off a huge game at St. Charles North. The Bulldogs expect to get Quinn Urwiler back soon after he missed last week's game with an undisclosed injury. Big tight ends Devin Cheaney and Drew Iutzwig are out two to four weeks, though.

FND pick: Batavia

St. Charles East (6-2, 4-2) at Lake Park (3-5, 2-4)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: 42-7 SCE in 2018

About the Saints: The Saints already clinched a playoff berth, and will need some help in the DuKane Conference race. Last week's surprising loss to Wheaton North snapped a four-game winning streak. Look for Cole Conn and Co. to do everything they can to end the regular season on a high note.

About the Lancers: Lake Park surrendered five turnovers last week, which could bode well for a Saints defense that prides itself on turnovers. Gino Cerrone and Nathan Hull could have big days against a Lancers passing attack that took a while to gain traction last week.

FND pick: St. Charles East

Geneva (0-8, 0-6) at Glenbard North (5-3, 5-1)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: 32-12 Vikings in 2018

About the Vikings: Geneva is simply looking to avoid a winless season. Geneva last went winless in consecutive seasons in 1998 and 1999.

About the Panthers: Glenbard North still has something to play for, as it is still in the mix for the DuKane Conference title. A win ensures at least a share, a remarkable feat after going 0-9 last season.

FND pick: Glenbard North

Aurora Central Catholic (1-7, 0-5) at St. Francis (7-1, 5-0)

When: 7:15 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: 43-13 SF in 2018

About the Spartans: The big question is the health of starting quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse after he left last week's game with an injury to his non-throwing hand. While he is expected to return at some point this season, the Spartans will get some good exposure for backup Michael Baffa before postseason play in case Rittenhouse's return takes longer.

About the Chargers: Defense has been a struggle this season, giving up 325 points to just 87 scored this season.

FND pick: St. Francis

LaSalle Peru (5-3, 4-2) at Kaneland (6-2, 4-2)

When: 7:15 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: 31-12 Kaneland in 2015

About the Knights: The Knights already clinched a playoff berth. Jack McIntire has established himself as one of the area's top running backs with 479 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.

About the Cavaliers: LaSalle has been shut out in back-to-back games to Morris and Sycamore, so getting its offense on track will be key for a team still looking to clinch a postseason berth.

FND pick: Kaneland

Cary-Grove (6-2, 6-2) at Burlington Central (3-5, 3-5)

When: 7 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: First known meeting.

About the Rockets: The Rockets had a very solid rookie season in a tough Fox Valley conference. Gavin Sarvis, Mark Ganziano and Jake Lenschow have all been solid offensively for a program with nice building blocks for next season and beyond.

About the Trojans: Last week's seven points scored and 42 points allowed to Prairie Ridge were both season firsts: Lowest scoring output and most points allowed. C-G has a playoff berth locked up.

FND Pick: Cary-Grove

Joliet Catholic (5-3, 2-0) at Marmion (6-2, 1-1)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Last Matchup: First known meeting.

About the Cadets: Marmion has a playoff spot locked up after St. Joseph was forced to forfeit last week.

About the Hilltoppers: Joliet Catholic needs one more win to secure a postseason berth. If the Hilltoppers win, they'll win the CCL/ESSC (White) division.

FND pick: Joliet Catholic.
