Eastland-Pearl City scored with 7 minutes left and missed a two-point conversion that would have tied the game.

The Wildcatz needed a stop to get the ball back for one more chance at a fifth win and a shot at the playoffs, but Forreston responded with a seven-minute drive to kill the clock, converting a fourth-and-one along the way to pull out the 22-20 win.

Forreston led 16-0 lead with 6:27 left in the second quarter after an Ethan Mulder touchdown run and a 44-yard touchdown pass from Jakob Boomgarden to Bailey Cullor, but Lane Christians answered with a four-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Dobish.

The teams traded third-quarter scores as Austin Mitchell scored from 41 yards out and Christians hit Carson Clouse for a four-yard score, and found Braydin Preston on the two-point conversion to cut the Cardinals’ lead to 22-14.

Christians hit Preston on an eight-yard pass with 7:01 to play, but Forreston stopped Logan Krell on the conversion attempt.

Christians completed 11 of 15 passes for 71 yards. Krell gained 77 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Aquin 28, West Carroll 8: The Thunder had a chance to clinch a playoff spot in Freeport, but now must await the IHSA brackets as a 5-4 team in order to know their playoff fate.

West Carroll led 8-7 at halftime thanks to a three-yard touchdown run from Kody Sipe with 2:08 left in the second quarter, but the Bulldogs held them scoreless in the second half while getting a four-yard touchdown run from Will Gustafson and a pair of Gustafson touchdown passes.

Aidan Sullivan had 16 carries for 142 yards for the Thunder. Derek Tracy added 10 carries for 54 yards rushing and passed for 72 yards.

Orangeville 52, Milledgeville 8: The Broncos and Missiles were tied 8-8 after one quarter in Milledgeville, but a Broncos touchdown early in the second put Orangeville ahead for good.

Damon Miller gained 70 yards on the ground for the Missiles. Macus McKenna added 58 rushing yards.

Morrison 35, Orion 6: The Mustangs go from a two-win season in 2018 to a perfect regular season in 2019 after the win over the Chargers at home Week 9.

Orion took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter before the Mustangs scored just before the half to take a 7-6 lead, then poured it on in the second half, returning the second-half kickoff for another touchdown.

Princeton 49, Erie-Prophetstown 7: The Panthers fell to the playoff-bound Tigers at home.

After Princeton jumped out to a 20-0 lead, E-P got its score from a 15-yard Eric Robinson touchdown pass to Robert Munther with 2:37 left in the second quarter.

Riverdale 54, Bureau Valley 13: The Storm trailed 48-0 at halftime en route to a season-ending loss.

Evan Eckberg found Dalton Dean on a 12-yard pass in the third quarter and Mac Nugent scored on an eight-yard run in the fourth for Bureau Valley’s two scores.

Nugent carried 17 times for 83 yards. Eckberg was 3-of-8 passing for 20 yards.

The Rams gained 287 yards on the ground, with 111 from David Arney and 97 from Colton Reiman.

Oregon 20, Mendota 12: Oregon ended the regular season with a win in Mendota.

Breccan Berns gained 230 rushing yards on 23 carries.

Jacob Milliman put Oregon on the scoreboard by taking the opening kickoff 83 yards for a score. Berns added touchdown runs of seven and 42 yards.
